I would like to take a moment to explain how we got here and why we feel this website will be of interest to you. For many years I have successfully sold medical equipment, both disposables and capital devices to most areas of the acute and sub acute hospitals. I also worked as a Product Specialist and a Regional Sales Manager for a large Medical Manufacturer. Then as my career grew in the Medical field, I continued to negotiate and implement GPO and IDN contracts as a Health Systems Manager. This experience has given me the insight to understand what clinicians are looking for in new technology. In addition, working throughout the country I have developed key relationships to identify true innovations.

Unfortunately, I have also been on the business end as a patient, having suffered two intracranial hemorrhages secondary to a pontine cerebral brain aneurysm. The first, at the young age of twenty-one, and the second before my fortieth birthday. Due to the likelihood and danger of a third occurrence I successfully underwent surgery to correct the problem and prevent any future bleeds.

During my time working in the medical sales field, and my time as a patient, I became aware of many companies that offered great products. It became apparent to me many products were sporadically being used. I later learned, these companies did not have the resources to properly introduce themselves or their products, to the end users and subsequently went unnoticed by most health care professionals. Also through my recovery I learned certain facilities had different equipment or protocols to handle the same medical situation. I am not implying one way is better than another. Rather I hope to educate and provide options that healthcare professionals and patients may not be aware of.

Thus Medical Innovations Today, Inc. was born. I hope you will find these products as beneficial as the people who invented them. I look forward to any feedback or suggestions you might have.
